“For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.”
Matthew 25:35 (NLT)
Dear LifeQuester’s,
Every “Quest” or “Journey”—whether a knight’s adventure, a soldier’s mission, or a young person seeking the right path in life—can’t be completed without basic supplies and provisions. Yet far too many youths face the daily struggle of food insecurity. Hunger is more than just an empty stomach—it can be a roadblock that threatens their future.
Food insecurity affects nearly 1 in 5 children (19.2%) in New Mexico, but its impact reaches far beyond at-risk youth. Hunger affects focus, energy, and emotional well-being and often leads to desperation, making kids more vulnerable to gangs, crime, and bad decisions, just to survive.
Today 75% of students rely on free and reduced-price meals at school. Yet, for many, this is their only meal of the day. Weekends and school breaks bring uncertainty, leaving thousands of kids without the food they need to thrive. This is especially important in New Mexico because we have one of the highest SNAP (government food assistance) participation rates in the nation.
Join us in making a difference.
This Month, LifeQuest USA is committed to providing 20,000 meals to the youth of New Mexico and their families and at just $2 per meal, our goal is to raise $40,000. I ask you to prayerfully consider joining us as we seek to combat the issue of food insecurity and continue to offer “A Hope and a Future” to the next generation.
Remember every prayer, hour volunteered, and dollar donated matters, and your support doesn’t just feed the youth—it helps them stay on the right path.
With our 4:13 and 4:14, we are committed to being part of the solution. Every time our groups meet, we provide a meal—guaranteeing at least one solid meal a week to anywhere between 20 and 30 kids. While this may not solve all their food security challenges, it does offer them consistency, community, and care week in and week out.
Exciting News for This Semester!
We’re gearing up for an awesome semester with three active groups meeting at:
– Hoffmantown Church
– White Stone Community Church (Peña Blanca)
– First Baptist Bernalillo
We are also thrilled to announce that another group is set to launch this fall! We’ve also got some epic adventures planned—one of the highlights will be rappelling and rock climbing with Adam Simpson from Thrive Ministries. It’s going to be an unforgettable experience! Thank you for your continued prayers and support of LifeQuest. Your generosity and commitment help us make a lasting impact on the lives of these young people
