Volunteer Opportunities

The 4:13 Journey

NM’s youth will embark on a 12-week adventure-based education program to engage with character building and relationship building. This Class will provide weekly large group instruction along with weekly small group discussions. And twice a month we go on an adventure together – hiking, ropes courses, community service and many more! To be a small group facilitator or a large group presenter email Esther listed above! If you are in High School and want to learn more about this epic adventure, also email Esther, and we’ll get you enrolled! – More info and registration portal coming soon!

LifeQuest Mentor

Mentoring is at the heart of LifeQuest. Do you have a passion for working with at-risk youth? We are recruiting male and female Mentors to walk beside our youth to listen, teach and provide guidance with everyday life issues. We consider this to be life on life mentoring. A LifeQuest mentor has a willing heart. Mentoring involves meeting with a young man or woman inside a secure facility once a week for an hour. Meetings include getting to know each other, devotionals, tackling hard issues, but most importantly providing a consistent unconditional friend. Once the client is released from the facility, the relationship is encouraged to continue providing guidance and support through life’s hard times and good times.

Character Development/Life Skills Course Leader

Do you enjoy engaging with youth? Have you worked with young men and women in other venues? The curriculum is designed to give youth the skills for positive social interaction with others. It is a weekly commitment for a 1-hour class plus prep time that includes class preparation and class discussion. LifeQuest provides the curriculum and training to equip you to engage and guide the at-risk youth.

Tutor

Do you have the heart to tutor? We provide tutoring in both individual and group settings. We are currently seeking male and female Tutors for GED preparation or to obtain a High School Diploma. Contact us to get the process started.

Recovery Group Leaders/Sponsors

Have you experienced saving grace through a recovery group and do you want to share this program with at-risk youth? We have a growing need for both female and male Recovery Group Leaders and Sponsors. Commitment is a minimum once a week for a 1-hour meeting.

Bible Study Leaders

Bible Studies are held throughout the week. Has God laid it on your heart to reach the vulnerable with words of encouragement and love? A LifeQuest Study Leader provides weekly biblical lessons to young men and women in lock up. They prepare simple lessons (using provided layouts and idea sheets,) and hold discussion style studies within an hour-long period.

Topic Speaker

Are you a business professional with excellent communication skills? Do you want to teach youth about your profession to include money management, banking, credit, rental agreements, life insurance and other everyday life necessities? These occur twice per month. Contact us to get on the rotation list. This is a group setting.

Each Program includes the LifeQuest New Volunteer Orientation Training.

Other Trainings include a monthly mentor training, online trainings, and CYFD facility Orientation.
