July Newsletter

Dear Friends:

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” 1 Chronicles 16:34

Looking back at June all we can say at LifeQuest is: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

We held our 9th Annual LifeQuest Charity Golf Classic on June 6th at Canyon Club. It was easily our most successful and profitable tournament yet! Not only was it a great day for the golfers but we had youth from our 4:13 Journey greeting and thanking golfers at the first hole as well as scattered throughout the golf course. It was a GREAT day! Thank you to all who participated and volunteered for making this our most successful tournament to date.

Then at the end of June we provided not one but two three day seminars for incarcerated youth called Ready4Life. On June 24-26 we were at YDDC in Albuquerque with 27 young men and women joining us. Then we drove to Las Cruces on the 27th and presented the three day seminar to 23 young men at the John Paul Taylor center on the 28th through the 30th. Dr Scott Larson flew in from Boston with John Kinzle, another Straight Ahead Ministries’ staff, to present the seminar in conjunction with LifeQuest staff and volunteers. We saw some incredible things happen with these young men and women and know God will use those days to change these youths’ lives.

We are currently preparing to present the ten week Ready4Life follow up in both of these juvenile facilities. And then in August we will be launching our fourth “The 4:13 Journey” session here in Albuquerque. If you know any 12-18 year old youth who might benefit from The 4:13 Journey the  website application process is now live at www.lifequestusa.org.

All of this is possible because of your faithful prayers and financial support. Thank you again for making all of this possible. Is there anything more critical than touching the lives of New Mexico’s youth and our future leaders in this state? YOU make all of this happen. Please keep us in prayer as we continue to seek where God may take us next.

Serving Together,

John D. Jones
